On the foundations of hatred and envy
Cemented by ill-will and lies
Walls of foam painted with pretense
This house built on doubt and distrust; thrives!!

The wolf is my next-door neighbor
Meaningless conversations to fill up the void inside
In a town full of strangers
We call some of them our "own" allies!!

Tea-time chatter
Laughing on a character's sad demise!
Or about first-copy merchandise
These crystals doth diamonds outshine!!

Songs with profanity
Played aloud on loop
Exchanging pleasantries
Perhaps, that's why 'Fake' is the new black!!

And all the sentient beings crying,
"This house is falling apart!!"

Sometimes I wonder why Solitude has become such a crowded place!! Make 'em stop; these cacophonies of screaming silences; they're deafening!!!! Who built this barricade in the middle of our bed?! Why do our conversations resemble a talk show on mute?! Can you tell?! Jet-speeding through the highways in my mind, I'm afraid, the light at the end of the tunnel might be a halogen bulb put there to illuminate the sign board that reads - "DEAD END"!!! :-|
