 Yet today I shed a tear-drop or three,

 Thinking she could be my daughter, my sister, my neighbor.... Or Me!!

 Leave your remorses and regrets behind, Damini... 

 Set your brave self free.

For its Us who stand shamed,

For its our souls that are dented

Its this nation that's painted and tainted black 

Its all of us that are raped by our supposed protectors and Keepers,

And the Government watches with glee!
