The Monsoon Ballad - 2 : Waiting for the rain....

They say he's been coming often these days and waiting outside my window for me,
I've been too busy to even know if its bright or cloudy, or which part of the day it is outside!!
Heard he's spread the carpet of green all over, for me to see and smile when I peep out of my window. But I've been shut away in a box with lots of staplers and letter pads for company, occasionally clicking on my mouse... Googling the weather and blue skies in 'another part of the world'... fantasizing if I could run away and live there forever!
And I complain I've been a slave to this corporate weather. And all I breathe is the smell of paper....
I take detours in my mind, wonderin how it'd have been if I was a farmer on the hill side! And I could've seen him often, wearing a rainbow crown on his head....Oh I definitely think you're handsome, Rain!!
And I day-dream about getting drenched in a sweet surrender, and I imagine the droplets chatter occasionally, humming my favorite serenading melody of yonder!
And I wonder... if he would come again and knock at my window pane, will I know?!? Will I hear it from among the screeching sounds of the printer or the ringing phones?!
And I wonder outside, are the leaves drunk yet?! And are the flowers swaying like mad?! And is the sun sleeping, enjoying his holiday today?!
And are you, Oh Rain, waiting outside for me again?!?

Whoa! So here i am... So, I heard everyone s got a blog these days!!! I heard its 'IN'!! Like...some kinda frenzy in which everyone s getting caught...and seems I ain't spared either!!!!! Its been a while a few of my friends who've known me closely, have been telling me I should start writing again. But I haven't really found that spark in a while. I'm still not sure whether I will find what I'm looking for again. But I sure do hope to find it. I'm not quite sure of what I'll write in my blog...ever since I lost those diaries{I swear i still miss em :-(} while packing and shifting back from Delhi.. it had stopped! I miss the writer in me sometimes but more so I miss the collection of those 50 odd poems and essays I had written. Those days it just came randomly flowing through my pen... one of the real pleasures of life, that I lost down the line. I hope to find it again... and so i blogged!!!!!!!!! :D \m/
